The pillsbury Company is one of the oldest and most recognized firm in American food retailing. Charles A. Pillsbury purchased one third of a flour mill in Minneapolis in 1869 and began what was to become the Pillsbury Company. He purchased additional mills and added state of the art equipment which allowed the company to experience unheard of growth at the time. Pillsbury has grown into the leading refrigerated dough brand in the United States during the past 138 years, with a product line that includes a variety of biscuits, bread sticks, cookies and waffles. the trademark of Pillsbury Best XXXX" which is embellished on the sides of our proto-type models was resisted in 1872. This was the same trademark that was painted onto covered hoppers during the 1960's. Today, Pillsbury is part of General Mills Incorporated.
